I arrive in the UK from the Caribbean on 24th April and flew out to Greece on 10th May
I stayed with Sheila in Hartlepool, but visited Whitby Sheila's colourful garden tulips Beautiful Emsworth My Audi still going strong Entrance to Whitby Unusual offer by a Whitby pub Snow? After the Caribbean, this was very chilly! Taken from the Maker area, near Torpoint The Orangery I took Marie, my nephew Simon's mother for a walk and lunch The yellow building is the Clovelly Inn - Very good food! The view from my nephew Simon and Lynne's house in Hooe, and area within the City of Plymouth Simon & Lynne's house is second from the right (the green house) The statue of Sir Francis Drake and the War Memorial are famous landmarks in the City of Plymouth The Pilgrim Fathers set sail from here in 1620 to colonise New England (now part of ther United States) The waterfront was a popular place for me in my early teens My favourite gin is produced here Capt'n Jasper's is a popular "greasy spoon" place to eat in Plymouth Small memorial garden (includes Falklands) West Hoe The remains of the Hoe pier destroyed by Hitler's bombs in WW2 FDating from Roman times, Winchester was until the mid 12th century the capital of England The Cathedral Market Day Lelegant wedding guests Bluebell time I went to school with Roger and Keith, and then we joined the navy together! I joined the navy with Derrick, Ken and John
