More Southsea colour Beautiful spring colours Southsea common has many happy memories for me. Today it looked as beautiful as always. A strong southwesterly gale blowing through the Solent, on the south coast of UK Launched in 1992 the Motor Yacht "Leander" is owned by Sir Donald Gosling and is available for charter from US$ 490,000 per week, plus expenses. Sir Alec Rose bought Lively Lady in 1963 with the aim of taking part in the 1964 Single-handed Transatlantic Race - he finished in 4th place. In July 1967 Sir Alec Rose was off again HMS Warrior - The world's first ironclad warship. Here impressively restored and open to visitors in Portsmouth. Launched in 1860, she was the pride of Queen Victoria's fleet. Powered by steam and sail, she was the largest, fastest and most powerful ship The Minerva Pub - the oldest pub in Plymouth Portland Square, Plymouth c2012.
